Today we’ve got some great footage from Carscoops of a prototype Continental GT with an entire entourage of Bentleys in tow. The new Continental is expected to debut in 2017 and will go on sale in 2018, replacing the current model. Bentley’s top-selling model is expected to retain its 4.0l V8 and 6.0l W12 power plant options and gain a hybrid option.
As I so eloquently tried to point out on Instagram, you can see in this shot that the new Continental appears slightly shorter and wider. This is probably an illusion because of the new car’s sharper lines and higher belt line (shorter windows.) As you can see the video embedded below, the new GT will be an evolution of the current models wonderful shape. There have been more frequent spottings of development vehicles recently, especially around the factory in Crewe. Stay tuned for more coverage as the 2018 Continental GT gets closer to production!
2018 Continental GT vs. 2016 #Bentley Continental GT Napped this from a clip on YouTube. The car in front of the Bentayga is the ’18 Continental. The car behind the Bentayga is the ’16. the new car looks to be shorter, especially in the height of the rear window. It makes the car look wider, but it may be the same as the previous model.
