Although the 2016 Bentley SUV has not yet been officially named or announced, Bentley Motors CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer is considering a smaller crossover to go along side it. Speaking with Autocar, Dürheimer said, “there are other SUVs on the market that show the potential in that area. This derivative is definitely one of the ideas we have, but our store of ideas gets bigger and bigger.”

Bentley is finishing up a record year for sales and early indications for their new SUV are exceeding expectations. Dürheimer said that they earlier expectations of 3000 full size units of the Bentley SUV could be light as the company is seeing strong interest from their customer base. It is estimated that the luxury SUV markets is growing three times faster than the high end luxury car market.
The Bentley SUV is expected to debut this fall, possibly at Paris in October, and be available by 2016.
