The relationship between St. Regis luxury hotels and Bentley Motors continues to produce some the world’s most luxurious experiences. The latest is the Bentley Suite at The St. Regis Dubai in Al Habtoor City. It’s the third Bentley Suite, joining suites in Istanbul and at The St. Regis New York.
In the previous collaboration at the St. Regis Istanbul, the suite’s designers went to the Bentley Continental range for inspiration. For the Dubai suite, they’ve pulled inspiration from the Bentley Mulsanne.
“We are delighted to present a new Bentley Suite as a peak travel destination in the Middle East for our discerning customers,” said Christophe Georges, Director of Product and Marketing at Bentley Motors. “This latest luxury development brings an added dimension to our partnership with design themes that showcase the defining characteristics of contemporary elegance and stylish refinement of both brands.”
The room is located on the fourth floor and includes a generous foyer, large living and dining areas and one bedroom. It has floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the hotel property’s gardens.
As you enter though a pair of double doors, you are greeted by marble, leather and polished walnut veneers. Much of the room’s furnishings were either selected for their comfort and quality, or built specifically to create the one-of-a-kind feel of the suite.
As you continue into the room, you meet a 12 seat dining table made of “smoked fiddleback.” A large LED chandelier hangs over the table. It too was crafted specifically for the room and draws its design inspiration from the headlamps of the Mulsanne.
The living room furniture is stitched with fluting and Bentley’s signature diamond quilting. The living room’s main wall slides back, revealing a TV and five Breitling clocks which display the time from five different time zones.
An adjacent study was clearly touched by Mulliner. The walls are covered in a rich veneer; the sofa’s cushions have the same detailing as Bentley seatbelts. A custom-made coffee table of Ice lacquer (white) and Porpoise hide (gray) has multiple compartments.
The master suite is where things very luxurious. The master bath has a walk-in closet and the bath is covered in more marble. The bedroom self has fluted Bentley leather walls. The night stands were inspired by the Mulsanne Speed emblem in Burr Walnut and the carpet, like the living room rug, recalls Bentley’s iconic matrix grill.
The St. Regis Dubai opened in November of 2015 in the Al Habtoor City development on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai’s first fully integrated urban resort. Featuring French beaux-arts architecture and neo-classical interiors, the 234-room hotel features 52 suites with impeccable detailing and luxurious touches. This is complemented by eight distinctive culinary venues, an Iridium Spa, a fitness centre and two rooftop outdoor swimming pools.
