This is the first time ever that Bentley takes a win in Silverstone, so this victory is very important to us. A little bit of history for the company, as it were. – Guy Smith
Race number two in the Blancpain Endurance Series was an important for Bentley M-Sport for two reasons.  First, it was the Continental GT3’s first chance to race in front of the home country and second, Bentley needed to prove they had a car capable of winning.

The #8 Bentley driven by Guy Smith, Andy Meyrick and Steven Kane was very competitive all day. With about 42 minutes left in the three hour race, the course entered yellow which allowed the Bentley, with Steven Kane at the wheel, to close the gap with race leader Andy Soucek and his McLaren MP4-12C.

With twenty minutes to go, Kane and the Bentley Continental GT3 moved into first place, which they would hold onto for a historic win for Bentley. The next event in the Blancpain Endurance Series is June 28th at Paul Ricard in France.
