The first nine months of the year have been good to Bentley with global car sales up 19% over 2013.  So far in 2014, the luxury auto maker has delivered 7,786 cars.

Sales are up in all of Bentley’s sales regions with the US remaining Bentley’s number one market and China, with its rapidly growing wealth, in second.

“We said at the start of the year that 2014 would be a record breaking year for Bentley and we are firmly on track to deliver on our promise. Certain markets are tough, as other luxury car brands can testify, but with our three model lines delivering a perfect blend of luxury and performance, alongside the international appeal that we have as a brand, it will ensure 2014 will go down as our best ever year.” – Kevin Rose, Marketing and Aftersales, Bentley Motors

Bentley Motors attributes the sales growth to new models including the Continental GT V8 and the Flying Spur V8.  2013 was Bentley’s previous record year, posting the highest delivery, turnover and profit figures in the company’s 95-year history.

With the new Bentley SUV to debut later next year, this won’t be the last time will see new records sales numbers from the marque.
