Bentley Motors has began accepting reservations for one of their most unique experiences: the 2016 Power On Ice. Bentley enthusiasts can one again register to travel with the company to a frozen lake in northern Finland to experience the driving dynamics of Bentleys on ice. Power on Ice includes food and lodging and activities such as snowmobiling and ice karting along with opportunities to enjoy the local culture.
New at the event this year is Bentley’s first SUV: the Bentayga. Participants in the four-day experience will get ample time in the world’s fastest SUV. By the time the event begins, only a couple months worth of Bentaygas will have been produced, ensuring an exclusive drive in a rare vehicle.
The event, which runs through February, starts with packages costing €11,900 per person. It runs for four days at Chalet Ruka Peak on a frozen lake in the very north of Finland.
The program includes two days of ice driving training provided by instructors. Leading the instruction is four-time World Rally Champion and two-time ice-speed record holder, Juha Kankkunen. It is Kankkunen himself who designs each of the ten ice tracks used by guests.
Participants don’t need to worry about bringing their own transportation as Bentley will have their lineup of all-wheel drive vehicles there. Joining the Bentayga, will be the Continental GT, the Flying Spur, and the Continental GT3-R, all of which are very capable on the frozen lake.
After a day of playing in the snow, guests will enjoy relaxing evening meals featuring contemporary Finnish cuisine and a traditional smoke sauna. The day ends with the opportunity to take a night time ride in a husky pulled sled to an historic reindeer farm to “complete the immersion into Finnish culture.”
